The Townsville School Sport executive met this morning and a decision was made to invoice schools for the 2020 TSS levy. Usually this levy is invoiced at the beginning of the year, however we were waiting to see what was going to happen with the Covid situation
and sport.
Considering that some representative sports are now going ahead and the fact that we are still planning on having Red Track and Swimming Carnivals, TRS costs will need to be covered. We estimate the requirement of approximately 80 TRS days to cover these events.
If some of these events do not go ahead, this will then be reflected in the 2021 levy to schools.
As was discussed at the TSS AGM at the beginning of the year, the levy this year is $2.10 per student. It would be appreciated if you could alert your Business Manager/Finance person to this matter.
Semester One TRS claims will be processed in the next couple of weeks.
