District trials
District trials are conducted to select 12 year and under teams for Townsville and Thuringowa. These district teams participate in the North Queensland trials where students vie for selection in the Northern region team. The regional team competes at the state championships.
This year's boys' trials will be conducted on Thursday 18 March (Thuringowa) and Friday 19 March (Townsville).
Girls are welcome to trial on these dates. Girls displaying ability will be invited to trial with the Peninsula team for the upcoming Girls state championship as there is no Northern region girls team.
Only players nominated and endorsed by the school will be eligible for selection. Venue and time information is available from the school. All nomination forms must have the principal's signature on them or students will not be permitted to trial.
Players that attend schools which do not play Australian football are still eligible for selection. Please consider students who may not play Australian football but demonstrate a high level of athletic and sporting ability. A high standard of behaviour is expected of nominees.
Nominations must be scanned and emailed by 3pm Wednesday 17 March to Robert Lambert at Hermit Park State School rglam0@eq.edu.au
