Touch is played in Season 2 at Queens Park, North Ward (Townsville) and Greenwood Park (Thuringowa) both boys and girls. The structure of the competition allows all students of varying skills and ability to enjoy the sport.
Four district teams (2 x boys, 2 x girls from Townsville/Thuringowa) are selected each year to participate in the Northern region trials. These trials provide the district representatives with the opportunity to gain selection in the Northern 12 years and under touch teams at the Northern Queensland trials.

District trials
District trials are conducted to select 12 year and under teams for Townsville and Thuringowa. These district teams participate in the North Queensland trials where students vie for selection in the Northern Region team. The regional team competes at the state championships.
Only players nominated and endorsed by the school will be eligible for selection. Venue and time information is available from the school.
Players that attend schools which do not play touch are still eligible for selection.
Please consider children who may not play touch but possess a high level of sporting ability. A high standard of behaviour is expected of nominees.
