Tennis is played in Season 2. Fixtures are played at Townsville Tennis Inc. in North Ward. There are three divisions of competition including A, B1 and B2. This allows players of all abilities to compete.
Combined Townsville/Thuringowa District boys and girls teams are selected each year to compete in the North Queensland District trials, allowing the opportunity for the competitors to vie for selection in the North Queensland team to compete at state championships.

District trials
District trials are conducted to select 2 x 12 year and under teams for Townsville district. These district teams participate in the North Queensland trials where students vie for selection in the Northern region team. The regional team competes at the state championships.
Only players nominated and endorsed by the school will be eligible for selection. Venue and time information is available from the school. Students who are 10 years old must be of exceptional standard.
A high standard of behaviour is expected of nominees.
2023: This year's district trials will be conducted on Thursday 25 May, students may also be invited to trial on Friday 26 May. Nomination forms are available from the PE teacher or sports contact at your school.
