District trials

District trials are conducted to select 12 year and under teams for Townsville and Thuringowa. These district teams participate in the North Queensland trials where students vie for selection in the Northern region team. The regional team competes at the state championships.

​Only players nominated and endorsed by the school will be eligible for selection. Venue and time information is available from the school. All nomination forms must have the principal's signature on them or students will not be permitted to trial.

Players that attend schools which do not play cricket are still eligible for selection. This trial is for students who demonstrate a high level of skill in the sport of cricket. A high standard of behaviour is expected of nominees.

Please note that these trials will be run over 2 days. All students must attend on Thursday then selected students will be invited back on Friday for a final trial.

2022​​: this year's district trials will be conducted on Thursday 4 August  and Friday 5 August. Nomination forms are available from the PE teacher or sports contact at your school. 

Nominations must be scanned and emailed Brett Hull, Annandale State School – bhull​​4@eq.edu.au, no later than 5 pm Wednesday 3  August. All nominations forms must have the Principal’s signature.
